Course Description

Lynn Louise Wonders, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S presents this recording of an online interactive training webinar that provide therapists an overview of the nature of providing play therapy with high conflict divorce and custody cases.

Upon completion of this training participants will be prepared to:

  1. Describe how to screen during the initial play therapy intake for the vital information that might otherwise be withheld.
  2. Explain ways to set and maintain firm boundaries to protect the process of the play therapy.
  3. Describe the concepts and identify elements of parental alienation, polarization and loyalty conflict.
  4. List specific ways to keep the play therapy clinical record.
  5. Describe how to best use play therapy in helping children whose parents are going through high conflict divorce and/or custody battles.
  6. Cite ethical issues in working with high conflict divorce and custody cases and solve ethical dilemmas that often arise in these cases.
